Hi, I’m Sarah Nickel—founder of Mindful Gardens and a landscape designer dedicated to creating sustainable, low-maintenance outdoor spaces that work with nature, not against it. I started this business to help people in Itasca County, Minnesota enjoy landscapes that are beautiful, resilient, and safe—while also conserving water, enriching soil, and supporting pollinators and wildlife. My goal is to make it easier for you to connect with your land, protect what you value, and enjoy a landscape that brings balance through every season.
